Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of Writ. Pre-launch — these terms will be finalized before the service is live.
Last updated: July 5, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing this website or using Writ, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Writ is pre-launch; features described here may not be live.
2. What Writ is — and is not
Writ is non-custodial software that lets you author automations which execute on-chain from your own wallet, within a spending allowance you set. Writ is not a broker-dealer, exchange, bank, money transmitter, or investment adviser, and it does not provide investment, legal, tax, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and instructions.
3. Non-custodial & your control
Writ never takes custody of your assets. You grant a capped, revocable allowance; Writ can only act within it, and anything an automation buys settles to the wallet you control. You may pause or revoke any automation, and your allowance, at any time.
4. Eligibility & jurisdiction
You are responsible for ensuring your use of Writ is lawful where you are. Tokenized equities and certain features may be unavailable in some jurisdictions, including to US persons. You represent that you are not barred from using the service under applicable law.
5. Your responsibilities
- Securing your own wallet, keys, and devices.
- Reviewing and confirming every rule before you arm it.
- Understanding the assets and risks involved in any automation you create.
6. Risks
On-chain trading involves significant risk, including price volatility, smart-contract and protocol risk, thin liquidity and slippage, network congestion, and total loss. Automations may fill at unexpected prices or fail to execute. You accept these risks.
7. No warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Writ and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of assets, profits, or data arising from your use of the service.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product develops. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
